Teacher Rolin arranged a task: “Everyone must perform at the New Year Banquet!”
Rolin老师给大家布置了一个任务：“所有人都要在新年晚会上表演一个节目哦！”
The students were very excited and began to discuss their ideas, but nobody noticed Victor sitting in the back of the classroom looking very anxious. He was very worried because he had no talents.

Teacher Rolin saw that Victor was nervous and went to ask about his performance. As it turns out, Victor still didn’t know what he was going to do. Teacher Rolin asked, “What are you good at?” Victor thought for a long time, and then said, “I can tell jokes, but people rarely laugh.”

Rolin老师说：“你就是太不自信了。如果一个人不自信，就算他再努力表演，也不会精彩的。到你了，去给大家表演一场脱口秀吧！”
Victor mustered up the courage to walk out onto the stage and confidently told the audience a joke. Everyone thought it was great, and they laughed aloud. This made for a very warm atmosphere, and it was then that Victor understood the power of self-confidence.
Victor鼓起勇气走上舞台，充满自信地给大家讲了一个笑话。果然大家觉得有趣极了，都哈哈大笑起来，新年晚会的气氛因此热烈起来。Victor这才明白自信的力量。
